I have spent a lot of time in Venice during the last three summers and I can't wait to spend two weeks there this summer.
A little Byzantine
A little labrynthine
A little crowded in San Marco
A little quieter in San Stefano
Bellinis in the Accademia
(You thought Harry's Bar)
Monteverdi still in the Frari
Lots of walking, vaporetto's your car.
The gondolas are romantic
But the traghetto is a cheaper thrill
You cross thee canal standing
And the boatload will never spill.
Drink a macchiato for me
Venice will never set me free.
