Any foodie would love my Pasta with garlic, olive oil, and scallops

I'm not a big fan of Martha Stewart, but this meal would be great for any guests, no matter how exalted in the food world.

Pasta with garlic, olive oil, and scallops
Boil a pound of good Italian pasta, drain, return to pan and add a fruity, unfiltered extra-virgin olive oil (amount to taste), a generous amount, of freshly chopped garlic, a bunch of Italian parsley coarsely chopped, and one pound of lighltly sauteed bay sea scallops. Salt and pepper to taste.

Easy and delicious.

Baguette
Always have good bread to sop up the sauce.

Salad of fresh field greens
Salad of field greens and herbs lightly dressed with fresh oil and vinegar.

Gelato
The perfect end to an Italian meal.

  1. Mmmmm...
Do you have a favorite olive oil? We tried an olive oil club for awhile and it was fabulous!

  2. I am still working my way through the olive oils that I got when I was part of David Rosengarten's olive oil club. They are all wonderful. But I got more olive oil than I could use, so I finally had to give up. I still have about six bottles of different types left.
