As the ancient Egyptians knew, and of course as every cat knows, cats are gods. While dogs just want to please, cats expect to be pleased. So when they deign to sit on your lap, purr with pleasure when you pet them, play with the toys you give them, sleep with you, you know that they are conferring a special privilege on you. Most dogs will love anyone. If a cat chooses to love you, even fleetingly, you know you are special. So if you want to be special, find the cat that lets you know that you are special.
